A rich man cannot get into heaven
I heard that wealthy people won't make it to heaven because their wealth is their god. Is this true? Do wealthy people have a chance for salvation? The answer is yes, it is possible for a rich man to be saved by grace, just as all men may be saved. The Scripture includes numerous accounts of men who were wealthy and yet who also followed the Lord faithfully.SEE VIDEO BY TOPIC: rich man and lazarus - gospel - full movie

- Matthew 19:24 Explained
What does the Bible say about? It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs. But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.
Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others.
I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money. And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Not devoting themselves to Jewish myths and the commands of people who turn away from the truth. To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work. There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.
There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments. What do I still lack? But the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God. And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side.
The rich man also died and was buried, and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. Now when Jesus had finished these sayings, he went away from Galilee and entered the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. And large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and money. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.
Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist. When your eyes light on it, it is gone, for suddenly it sprouts wings, flying like an eagle toward heaven. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous that is, an idolater , has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. No one comes to the Father except through me. Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
Strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God. As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.
I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.
And I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom, that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it. For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people's faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also.
How then does it have weeds? He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.
Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation? Who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better.
For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.
For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.
And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.
John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one.
Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.

Throughout the books of the Gospel, we see time and time again the teachings and parables of Jesus Christ that illustrate the foolishness of attaching importance to material wealth. Question: "What did Jesus mean when He said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to get into heaven? The Persians expressed the concept of the impossible by saying it would be easier to put an elephant through the eye of a needle. The camel was a Jewish adaptation the largest animal in Israel was a camel. Some theorize that the needle Jesus was speaking of was the Needle Gate, supposedly a low and narrow after-hours entrance found in the wall surrounding Jerusalem.
Can a wealthy person make it into heaven?
Some people think the Bible says the rich cannot enter Heaven, which is false. They could be filled with pride, greed, selfishness, and more which will stop them from entering. Christians can indeed be rich and go to Heaven, but you must never trust in riches. All Christians especially the rich have a duty to help provide for the poor and be willing to share with others. James Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works. You might be middle class in America , but in a country like Haiti or Zimbabwe you would be rich. Stop trying to buy the newest stuff and instead readjust your giving. Set your eyes on Christ. A Christian says I have nothing, but Christ and we know there is not enough money in the world to help us.
Why Is It Hard For The Rich Man to Enter the Kingdom of Heaven?
John A. Over the years, biblical commentators have taken three approaches in exploring the meaning of this scripture. The first of these has found wide acceptance among Christians because of the beauty of its teachings. It holds that in ancient times there was a small gate cut inside the larger gate of the city through which one might enter after nightfall, when the city was closed. The imagery here is that of the sinner casting away his faults or the rich man his worldly possessions and kneeling in prayer.

The term " eye of a needle " is used as a metaphor for a very narrow opening. It occurs several times throughout the Talmud. The New Testament quotes Jesus as saying that "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God". The eye of a sewing needle is the part formed into a loop for pulling thread, located at the end opposite from the point. The Babylonian Talmud applies the aphorism to unthinkable thoughts. To explain that dreams reveal the thoughts of a man's heart and are the product of reason rather than the absence of it, some rabbis say:.
